Our Aim
This department primarily focuses on logistics in taking care of Pastors, Guest Speakers and Ministers together with any invited guests before, during and after the course of a church service, meeting or an event in church according to 1 Corinthians 14:40 and Nehemiah 4:9. It is noteworthy to mention that the department has a responsibility to maintain general security of building and its occupants.
Achieving the Aim
The team works hand in hand with the Hospitality, Transport, Catering and Ushering teams as well as the Armour Bearers. In this department we make sure that all church services, conferences, ceremonies, including memorial services, funerals, weddings and other services are observed according to the etiquette rules.
We ensure that there is good co-ordination regarding meeting with the Pastors, Guest Speakers as well as other invited guests together with their transportation to and from places of worship. Wisdom is a key element that members of the team should use as stated in James 1:5.
With regards to security within the church we believe that people visit churches for comfort, safety, and a sense of belonging. Under no circumstances do they expect to feel unsafe or to have their security jeopardised when coming for a church service, conference or any other event. Having this in mind our security plan combines effectiveness in preventing and containing threats, without changing the experience for our members. Aside from the most violent acts of hate against churches there are valuable assets that could be attractive to thieves and burglars, which is an additional reason why we have good security in place.
We have put in place systems and procedures that new church members are introduced to as they join, so they become aware of the need for compliance. In YMI we know that, “… all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose, Romans 8:28.” More passionate people are needed in this critical department.
