YMI Hospitality and Appreciation Team

Our Aim

As the Hospitality team we appreciate and encourage our guests who include home as well as visiting Pastors to feel welcome and comfortable whilst experiencing the love of God in the church.

Achieving the Aim

Our services are provided through friendly and gracious approaches. We work closely with the ministry calendar to book accommodation, decorate the rooms and write authentic welcome messages for visiting Pastors and other invited guests.

Some of the ways we execute our duties to achieve our aim are stated below: We present gifts on behalf of the ministry to the visiting Pastors and invited guests when they leave. Mathew 10:41 says, “He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.”

We appreciate and celebrate the lives of our home Pastors by remembering their special days such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mothers’ and Fathers’ days. We are encouraged by 1 Thessalonians 5: 12 that says, “Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you.”

We organise baby showers, baby welcomes to members of the church to show our love, devotion and encouragement together with rejoicing with them over their blessings. Romans 12:10 gives us encouragement as it says, “Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.”

The teams decreases the amount of stress, anxiety, fear and confusion for our visitors and guests through resources such as:
Greeters/Ushers/Security Attendants
Welcome/Visitor packages
Translators (when necessary)
Visitor Cards

We uphold the view that the bible teaches us, that we have a duty to greet and welcome each other, be hospitable towards others and fellowship with each other in the body of Christ. We look forward to welcoming new young and adult members onto our team.
